Bengaluru North University is a state level university located in Tamaka in Kolar, Karnataka. It was established in 2017 by the government of Karnataka. Many colleges are affiliated to this university. It is accredited with C grade by the National assessment and accreditation council(NAAC).

The university offers various courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level in arts, science, management and commerce fields. Some of the popular courses provided are B.com, B.com (Hons.), BBA, BA in history, economics and political science, Bachelors in computer applications, B.ed, MBA, Msc.

Admission can be taken solely on the basis of merit. For taking admission in MBA, CAT scores or any other equivalent test scores can be presented.

Some of the affiliated colleges include Indian Academy Evening college, hasanath college, HKBK degree college, government first grade college, goodwill christian college for women, chinmaya institute of management, boston institute of management studies, AIFD, Bangalore.

Some of the facilities provided are hostels, libraries, computer centres, sports facilities,  wifi, IT infrastructure,  transport facilities, laboratories etc.

Faculty is good. They also organize various events and seminars for its students. Various curricular, non- curricular and recreational activities are being conducted from time to time for overall skills development of the students coming over there.

 Apart from the academic skills, deepshikha college of fashion technology, also focuses on all round development of its students by providing extra curricular opportunities.
