CNMC Admission 2024 | Calcutta National Medical College UG & PG Course Last Date

Calcutta National Medical College was established in 1948 with the union of the National medical institute and the Calcutta medical institute in Kolkata, West Bengal. Now, it has got a new name as Calcutta National Medical Institute. The college was inaugurated by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Since 1967 the college has been under the Department of Health and Family Welfare,and Govt. of West Bengal. The institute is a one of the major Medical Education and a Research Institute in the whole Kolkata. The college is initially affiliated to the University of Calcutta but now gets the affiliation from West Bengal University of Health and Sciences. It is accredited by the Medical Council of India. The College has a Non-Clinical Department, Clinical Department and Para Clinical Department. Also, it is known by another name as Chittaranjan Hospital.

Eligibility Criteria

The students are admitted according to the merit list generated by the NEET entrance exam. There are various specializations in various courses except MBBS. Candidates should have scored at least 50% in intermediate but for SC/ST it is 40% and for PWD students it is 45%.

 

For MBBS

Students should have passed their intermediate with biology and english as the main subject and must have scores adt least 50%. The selection criteria is only the NEET-UG scorecard.

 

For MS, MD, Postgraduate Diploma in Anaesthiosology

Students must have a MBBS degree or any equivalent degree which has been recognised. Students are selected on the basis of NEET-PG scorecard.   

 

For M.Ch., DM

Applicants must have an MS degree or have a recognised degree which is equivalent to it. The applicants are selected according to the NEET-SS paper.
