Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya was established on1 November 1978. It is an agricultural university at Palampur in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The elevation is 1250 meters. The university spreads over an area of 400 hectares. It houses four constituent colleges. The university holds 11Th position in the list of top farm universities of the country. The university has several Krishi Vigyan Kendras (Agricultural Science Centers) and advanced research centers operating at different places in the state.

COURSES OFFERED

The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate level courses in the fields of Community Science, Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Sciences and Basic Sciences such as Master of Veterinary Science [MVSc], Bachelor of veterinary and animal sciences [BVSc], BSc (hons), MSc agriculture, physical and life sciences, food science and nutrition, BTech in food technology, and a PhD degree in the following streams Agronomy, Entomology, Genetics, and Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Soil Science, and Chemistry.

 

FEES STRUCTURE

The fees for BVSc and BTech are INR 46,000. The fees for MSc and MVSc are INR 49,000. The fees for PHD are INR 35,000. The fees for BSc are INR 26,000.
