Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University  which is also known as RMLNLU is located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. The college was established in 2005. The college started on the name Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law Institute. The college was established under the act of Govt. of Uttar Pradesh in 2005. The college was later given the name university in the place of institution on the basis of an act in November 2006.

The university provides an excellent infrastructure facilities with all the modern facilities. The students need to be trained in a professional manner as the law has to deal with diverse problems in the society and the institution gives its best to provide good outgoings. The responsibility to the society for giving good advocates is fulfilled by the institution. The campus is situated over 40 acres  in LDA's Kanpur Road Scheme. The institution is situated in such a place, where all the transport system is nearby which make the students easy to transport. The distance for the Amausi airport is 3.0 kilometres and for the Lucknow railway station is nearly 7 kilometers. The District Court, High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, Vidhan Sabha, Tribunals, all these are located near to the institution within a 10 km distance. The faculty members are well educated and trained. They provide all the help for the students for becoming a good advocate. They are always present at any time to help the students. The university provide hostel facilities for both girls as well as boys. They have well furnished hostel rooms which can accommodate around 1500 students. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University's library has a good collection of books. The library is known as Madhu Limaye Library with two floors which is air conditioned. The library has digital lab also advanced video-conferencing is provided in the library to conduct online lectures. Library also provide Wi-Fi connection.

The courses offers undergraduate, post graduate and diploma courses and they are as follows:

• B.A. LL.B. which is an integrated course for five years
• LLM, post graduate course for one year
• Post-graduate Diploma Programme in Cyber Law which is a one year diploma course
• Post-graduate diploma Programme in Intellectual Property Right which is a one year diploma course
• Post-graduate Diploma Programme in Media Law, Entertainment and Ethics which is a one year diploma course
• The college also offers certificate course for Foreign languages such as French, German and Spanish

The admission procedure for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is based on a centralised entrance examination called the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
