Gauhati Medical College and Hospital  [GMCH] was established and founded in 1960 as a public medical college, situated in Guwahati, Assam, India. This institution is affiliated to the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) and approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). This  medical institute is known to be the second medical college and a hospital to be established in the whole of Assam and it  all started as an ayurvedic College with less than 60 students. The admission criteria of this institution is based on the NEET scores of the candidates.
