Established in the year 1966, the Government College of Engineering's mission is to groom the candidates so that they can become not only professional but also students full of morality. Up till 2001, the college was affiliated with the University of Madras but after that to Anna University. GCE has got the Autonomous status and accreditation by NAAC and approval of AICTE. Mistral Solutions, Kaar Technology, Accenture, ZOHO, Chektronix, Surya Informatics, Infosys TCS, and many more are the recruiters of the college.

Admission Process

Eligibility Criteria

For UG

Candidates have to log in to the website of Anna University for the Counseling round by clicking on the Admission Tab. Then fill out the application form and submit it. Candidates will fill it up and submit the fees required. All the preferences will be specified on the college website. 

Candidates have to pass intermediate and there will be a counseling process at Anna University. Selection is done according to Academic merits and PI round.

For PG

Students are hereby informed that they have to register themselves on TANCET official website. Fill up the form with the required details and pay the fees.

Graduate degree in relative field with the performance in the entrance exam of TANCET (scores/ rank).
