The Indian institute of technology Bhubaneswar is a public engineering college established in 2008. It was established with the aim to build a bridge between Education ---- Technology --- Research. IIT Bhubaneswar is located in Bhubaneswar near the railway station. Campus area is spread over 936 acres. The campus provides a pollution free and academic environment . The institution has moved to 17th NIRF rank.

The institute admits the students through JEE and GATES entrance exam
The programmes are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate level. IIT Bhubaneswar provides 6 at undergraduate and 9 at post graduate specialization programmes.
Intotal there are 1128 students in the college whereas 88.83 % are boys and 11.17% are girls 99% within the state and 1029 outside the state.
