The Institute of Chemical Technology was established in 1993 ,87 years ago. This college was recognized by UGC on 12th February 2018 . It is a public deemed university in Mumbai , India . It is  focused on training and research in the field of chemical engineering, chemical technology and pharmacy . In total there are 1100 undergraduate students and 556 post graduate students.  Among notable people who have graduated from ICT are mukesh ambani , chairman of reliance , Nilesh gupta , managing director of lupin limited , madhukar parekh co - founder of pidilite industries. Krishnaswami Venkataraman was the first Indian director in 1938 .  ICT ranked 18th among engineering colleges .ICT is number one college for chemical engineering.

Infrastructure 

This college is a government college and the infrastructure is way better than what you would expect from a government college in  India. The classrooms are specious , cleanliness is the priority for the college. The labs are great . The library has a lot of books on different topics to which you can refer and learn . The hostel facility is good for the second year students as the rooms are slightly bigger . The canteen provides good quality food . There is a basketball court , football court  and campus of 16 acres . In total there are 3 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels.

In General tuition fees for whole year is 85080 excluding mess and hostel charges whereas hostel fees for college is ₹20000 and mess charges are ₹21000
