IHM Admission 2024 | Institute of Hotel Management UG & PG Course Last Date

Institute of Hotel Management [IHM], is located in Bhopal. The college was established in 1978. Initially the college was started as a food craft institution to teach culinary skills and food science. Later the college was turned into IHM by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India with a motive to develop the Tourism and Hospitality Industry in India.

The college has a good connection with various hospitality organisations and different industries. These connections help the students to have a wide opening to achieve their goals. They offer many international opportunities for the students. By this the students can show themselves to the world. Also by working together with different people helps the students to interact with many. This helps them to accept and respect others also.

The college provides everything for their students. They have all the modern facilities provided for them. They believe that along with knowledge practical skills are also important to stay in this field. So all their facilities include modern technologies. They have a basic training Kitchen (BTK) where the first year students learn basics of cooking, A  Quantity Training Kitchen (QTK) where the second year students learn cooking in more advanced than first year, An  Advance Training Kitchen (ATK) where third year students learn advanced form such as presentation and a Vegetarian Kitchen where they learn cooking related to vegetarian foods. The college also has  Bakery Lab, Training Restaurants, Accommodation Operation and Laundry Lab, Front Office Lab, Computer Lab, Audio-Visual Room, Board Room and Dining Halls. They also have a well established library with more than 7000 books, different journals, magazines etc.  college provides hostel facilities for both girls and boys.

The courses provided by the college are as follows:

  • Three Year Degree Course – B.Sc. H & HA
  • Three Year Degree Course – B.Sc. H & HA (Vegetarian Cuisine)
  • 18-months Craftsmanship Course – Food Production

The Admission procedure for 3-year B.Sc. Courses are based upon the entrance test rank in  All-India Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) conducted by NCHMCT. For Craftsmanship Course Applications are invited by individuals through advertisements in leading newspapers.
