Institute of Hotel Management, is located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The Institute was established in 1996. The college initially started as a  Food Craft Institute. Later the college was upgraded in the year 2001. It was upgraded to the State Institute of Hotel Management. The college was set up by the Department of Tourism, Govt. of Rajasthan.  The college is affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Noida, which is a top body coming under the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India. The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is an autonomous body.

 The college is situated in the area of Jodhpur Rajasthan, where the college has a campus of 6.5 Acres. The college has a good campus with all the necessary facilities provided for the students within the college. They believe that along with theoretical knowledge practical knowledge is also something important and they provide all the facilities to provide their students best practical skills. They have a basic training Kitchen (BTK) where the first year students learn basics of cooking, A  Quantity Training Kitchen (QTK) where the second year students learn cooking in more advanced than first year, An  Advance Training Kitchen (ATK) where third year students learn advanced form such as presentation and fine arts in cooking. They have CCK where they study craft courses and CBSP kitchens. They have Training Restaurants where they get trained for Food and Beverage services. They have Accommodation and Laundry labs, Front Office Lab, Computer lab etc. They also have a library with more than 7000 books and many journals provided for the students. The college provides hostel facilities for boys and girls. They have separate girls and boys hostels with  indoor & outdoor sports facilities with physical and mental development. They also have placement cells, where many top companies visit the institution for recruitment.

The college provides  3 years B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration, One & Half year Diploma in Food Production, Bakery & Confectionery, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office operation and Housekeeping operations along with Certificate courses in Food Production and F&B Services. The admission procedure is through the entrance test rank in the All-India Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) conducted by NCHMCT.
