Jalpaiguri Law College is a government aided law college in Jalpaiguri in the state of West Bengal. The law college was established on 14 September 1981. The mission of the college is to promote and provide quality legal education in the region. The college is the only law college in the entire jalpaiguri district and other neighboring districts. The college is affiliated to University of North Bengal and approved by the Bar Council of India.

AIM

The college aims at producing law professionals with a high level of knowledge to deal with the emerging challenges in changing the national and international legal world.

COURSES OFFERED

The college offers five year undergraduate law courses namely Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Legislative Law (BA LLB) and Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Legislative Law (BA LLB) Honors.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The admission to BA LLB and (BA LLB) Honors course required the student to complete a 10+2 exam with 50% aggregate marks and to qualify the law entrance exam.

 

FEES STRUCTURE

As the college is government aided, the fees are ultimately low. The annual fees for BA LLB is INR 12,000 and the fees for BA LLB (Hons) is INR 30,000 per year.
