In 2008, the Ramachandrapuram-based Kakinada Institute of Technological Sciences (KITS) was founded. Run by the Raja Ratna Medical and Academic Foundation with the goal of offering offers excellent technical training for agricultural and semi-urban pupils in the regions of East Godavari, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam, and Srikakulam.
