King George's Medical University is a medical university and hospital located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. The University is affiliated to the UGC and DCI(Dental Council of India). The medical school was established in 1905 and later became a university by an act passed by the government of Uttar Pradesh in 2002. The university is spread over an area of 100,000 sq. metres. The campus has separate buildings for various departments like Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Neurology, Rheumatology, etc. The university offers programmes in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Medical, Dental and in nursing. The University has a total of 1250 seats for undergraduate students (including dental students) and 450 for post-Graduate students.
