MAIDS Admission 2022-23 | Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences UG & PG Course Last Date

Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences [MAIDS], is located in New Delhi, which was established on 10 January 1930. MAIDS is one of the well reputed Govt. college, approved by Dental Council of India. The college is affiliated to the University of Delhi. The time when Indian Medical Service was dominated by British, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences was called the Lok Nayak Hospital, which was earlier known as Irwin Hospital and it was established by Lord Irwin on 10th January 1930.

In 1983 November, the first batch of BDS was started and in 2007 MDS courses were introduced. Initially the dental wing was also a part of Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC). But in 2003 MAIDS got separated from MAMC and became Maulana Azad Dental College and Hospital.

MAIDS has good cooperation with top universities and institutions. Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences collaborates with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), which provides certificate courses in distance mode. The college also has collaboration with various research partnerships. Along with this the college has many achievements. The college has been awarded ‘FICCI award for operational excellence’. The college was announced as ‘centre of excellence’ by the Government of NCT, New Delhi. Also the college was ranked first in the outlook magazine in the list of Dental Clinics.

MAIDS Admission 2022-23

MAIDS provides BDS, which is a five-year undergraduate programme and MDS, a three-year programme for specialisation on various streams. The admission procedure is on the basis of merit. For BDS, candidates should apply for NEET UG Dental and for MDS candidates should apply for NEET MDS Dental. The college also offers many scholarships for the students.
