MAMC Admission 2024 | Maulana Azad Medical College UG & PG Course Last Date

Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) is a medical college. It is located in New Delhi and is affiliated to the University of Delhi. It is runned by the Government of Delhi. It is named after the Indian freedom fighter and first education minister of independent India Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. It was established in 1959 at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg near Delhi Gate. The motto of Maulana Azad Medical College is Immorality of Mortals by Cure. The dean of this 62 year old institution is Dr. Nandini Sharma.

 

MAMC Admission 2024 

There are 462 academic staff and 535 students. Out of 535 students, 290 are undergraduates and 245 are postgraduates. The courses offered here are MBBS which has a duration of 5 years 6 months and is admitted by the process of NEET UG. MD specializations in General Medicine, Radiodiagnosis, Paediatrics, Anaesthesiology, Biochemistry, Dermatology, Microbiology, Physiology, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Pathology, Pharmacology, Psychiatry and is admitted by the process of NEET PG. The specializations of PG Diploma are Anaesthesia, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, DDVL, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, ENT, Radio-Diagnosis and is admitted by the process of NEET PG. Amit Banarjee, Prem Chandra Dhanda, Ravinder Goswami, Shanti Swarup, Bhatnagar, Upendra Kaul, Kamal Kumar Sethi, Anil Aggarwal, Brijendra Kumar Rao and Saumitra Rawat are some of the notable alumni of Maulana Azad Medical College. Four hospitals attached to MAMC have a combined bed strength of 2,800 beds and cater to millions of people in Delhi alone and many more from the surrounding states in North India. The institution is a tertiary care referral center and has teaching programs for graduate and postgraduate degrees and residency and subspecialities/fellowships (referred to as super specialities in India)
