National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal or NITW) is a public technical university. It is located in Kazipet, Warangal, Telangana India. The Government of India recognises it as an Institute of National Importance. This institution was founded by our former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. National Institute of Technology, Warangal is the 1st NIT among all the other 31 NITs. It was known as RECs and then it was renamed as National Institute of Technology in 2002. This institution was established in 1959. The motto of National Institute of Technology, Warangal is ‘One who works, shall succeed'. The director of this 62 years old institution is N. V. Ramana Rao and the campus of National Institute of Technology, Warangal covers 255 acres of land.
