Osmania University [OU] was established and founded in the year 1918 as a public institution situated in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This institution was set up by and named after the 7th Nizam of Hyderabad in 1918, Mir Osman Ali Khan. Being 103 years old, it is known to be the third oldest educational institution in South India, and the first one to offer courses in Urdu language. This institution is recognised and approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited with a Grade 'A' by the NAAC. This institution has achieved many rankings by various well known organizations, such as, National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked this University 29th in the best University category, the World Asian University has ranked it between 281-290, and many more.
