Poona College of Pharmacy, located in Pune was established in 1981. Until 1981, there were no colleges in this locality. Founder of Bharti Vidyapeeth Dr. Patangrao Kadam established Poona College of Pharmacy by understanding the need of students in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The college is known as one of the best colleges mainly for its academics. The has celebrated its silver jubilee in 2006-2007. The college has both been certified by both NBA and NAAC and got A grade. The college has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. Their degrees have been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. Initially the college was affiliated to the University of Pune. But later it was turned into a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth .

Poona College of Pharmacy has a well maintained campus. The college provides all the facilities which are necessary for the students. They have a highly equipped and well maintained laboratory with all the equipment. They have different laboratories for undergraduate and postgraduate students.  The college has a good library which is open for the students from morning till evening. They have hostel facilities for both boys and girls with well maintained rooms.
