In order to meet the requirements of the community, the Lions Club of Malad-Borivali, an international social organization, saw the need to construct a commerce college in the western Mumbai district of Malad in 1972. With a generous gift from the Dalmia family of the Prahladrai Dalmia Charity Trust, the ideal envisioned by the Club's founding members was ultimately realized and the uni's cornerstone was placed in April 1972. The construction of the college building was finished in a record-breaking 100 days. Mr. T.K. Tope, the former vice chancellor of Bombay University, opened the institution. The school, which opened with 450 students, is now one of the top universities in the western suburbs.

Regulations and Rules

For a catalog and to write on the grade sheet, respectively, four passport-size photos are required. On university campuses, identity cards must be worn at all times.

The university places a high value on discipline, and all students are expected to adhere to it strictly. The consequences for defiance, disobedience, misbehavior, or failing to follow any of the regulations will be harsh.

Able to follow any rules set by the uni's principal, and they must not disrupt the uni's peaceful operation either in or out of the building. When their children enroll in university, mom and dad are deemed to have accepted the rules and agreed to acquiesce to the regular implementation of the same.
