In 1948, the University of Jammu and Kashmir was founded. After that it was bifurcated into two Universities, one was University of Kashmir and other was University of Jammu in the year 1969. The University of Kashmir is situated in Hazratbal, Srinagar. The whole campus is spread over 247 acres of land. NAAC, India has re-accredited it with A+ grade. There are various courses that the University offers which are: Arts, Law, Medicine, Dentistry, Applied science and technology, music and fine arts, and many more. They have been coming with new and innovative programmes to provide the needs of the students.

For UG & PG Courses
Applicants should have passed their intermediate with at least that percentage that the University has asked for in UG courses.
Also, to enroll for PG courses, one must have scored at least that percentage that University required.
*They conduct entrance exam for many courses.* So it is advised to visit their website.
Also, National and State level examination scores are valid in some programmes.
For the MBA/MBA (Financial Management)/ MCME/MTTM
Here, they mentioned that they accept only CMAT scorecard
For M Pharm
The GPAT score card is valid for it.
For B Tech
If you have qualified the JEE (Mains) paper 1, you will be accepted.
For admission in the IMBA (BBA-MBA)
Candidates are allowed to give the UGAT score card for admission in Kashmir University.
There is also one thing that they accept International Students in their University. They select the candidates on the basis of marks they scored in their qualifying exam. Applicants can apply under two different categories. One is through the General category and the other is the Cultural Exchange Programme.
