Mahant Laxminarayan Das College, Raipur was founded on 24th October 1997 by Shiksha Pracharak samiti, of Raipur to provide a tangible platform for the neighbouring community as a front. The institute is affiliated with PTRSU. The College is acknowledged under the university Grant commision. The college is accredited 'B' grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The College is named after an eminent freedom fighter Mashant Laxminarayan, who encountered various challenges and difficulties in his childhood, became a Mahant of Jaitu Sao Math in Raipur at a very early age. It was that time when the freedom movements were entering a new reign of mass struggle under the dynamic leadership of Mahatma Gandhi ji and the two became the true soldiers dedicating their lives for the cause of the mother nation.
