Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University is situated at Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, India. The motto of the university is Love Labor Service and was established in the year 2016.The Governor of Andhra Pradesh is the chancellor of the university and is a public university under A.P. State Legislature Act 2016.

The objective of the university is to promote and develop the Urdu language by providing wider access to people who wish to study higher studies in the medium of Urdu language and also it focuses on providing education to women. All the courses are taught in both Urdu and English except M.A.
The admission procedure for the undergraduate courses are as follows:
1) B.A (Hons) in Economics, Urdu- The student must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
2) B. Com in Commerce, Computer and General – The student must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
3) B.Sc. in Computer Science, Home Science, Math, Physics, Chemistry and Statistics – The student must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
4) Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics, Botany, Physics, Chemistry and Zoology- The student must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
The admission procedure for the postgraduate courses are as follows:
1) MA in English, Urdu, Education, Economics, Arab, Public Policy, Public Administration and Social Work- The student must have passed graduation in relevant subjects from a recognized university. Final year students are allowed to apply on a provisional basis.
2) M.Sc. in Mathematics, Botany, Physics, Chemistry and Zoology- The student must have passed graduation in relevant subjects from a recognized university. Final year students are allowed to apply on a provisional basis.
3) MBA- The student must have passed graduation in a relevant subject from a recognized university. Final year students are allowed to apply on a provisional basis.
