Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) is a public, technical and research university located in Sangareddy district, Telangana, India. Established in 2008, it is among the 8 universities started by the government of India. The institute is known for innovation and technology. The IITH campus is spread over 234 hectares. The campus is the best example of energy efficient, carbon neutral and sustainable architecture. The campus has 10 hostel buildings, two out of ten buildings are for female students only. IITH has a highly experienced faculty of 222 professors, assistant professors, and associate professors. Students are provided with high-speed internet and have 110 laboratories. NIRF ranked the institute 8th among other engineering institutes in 2024 and 17 overall. IIT ranked 201 in Asia by the QS World University Rankings in 2024 and 94 among BRICS nations in 2019.

IIT Hyderabad offers various programs as B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Des, M.Des, MA and Ph.D. in the streams of engineering, science, liberal arts and design. IIT Hyderabad offers 2 years M.Tech Program to the foreign Nationals in 9 different departments. Admissions to IIT Hyderabad is based on entrance exam tests like JEE Advanced, GATE and IIT JAM. IIT Hyderabad has built tie-ups with the leading academic institutions in the past years and one of the best examples is recent collaboration with Japanese Universities and Industries. The institute offers a B. Tech program in Biomedical Engineering introduced for the first time among the IIT system. 

The college has recently started its 2021 placements. A total 244 companies registered for 2021 placements. Over 75% of the students are placed in top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Goldman & Sachs, Jaguar, Land Rover, Airtel, OPPO, etc.
