Institute of Hotel Management  [IHM], Gwalior was established as a food craft in 1987. Later the food craft institution was changed into IHM in 1192 IHM became an autonomous college. The college comes under the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India and Ministry of Tourism Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. This college is one of the most preferred colleges for hospitality. They have a well educated faculty who provide all the necessary instruction for the students. So they can provide the best outgoings from the college.

The college provides all the necessary things for the students. They have all modern facilities. The college is affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT). The college has an air conditioned auditorium which has a seating capacity of  300. They have a new advanced training bakery with all the  modern equipment, cold rooms and upgraded quantity training kitchen for the students. The college provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls in the campus. The boys hostel can accommodate a number of 180 and the girls hostel can accommodate a number of 120 students. They also have staff quarters. The college is provided with CCTV cameras, which are always active in all college buildings including the main gate, which gives the students full security. The campus also has sports facilities such as basketball, football, volleyball, and cricket and indoor badminton games. Along with this the college provides parking facilities for students who are day scholars. IHM Gwalior solar panels are provided in the hostels which helps the students to have electricity during power cuts. They also have an Applied Training Centre and  20 rooms will be opened soon. This helps the students to improve their skills.

The admission procedure for Bsc is through NCHMCT JEE marks. For diploma the admission procedure is through exam merit and interview. For Hunar Se Rozgar its Through advertisement on selection basis.
