About the college

Pratap College of Education is located in Ramapuram village in Chirala in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It was established in the year 2006 as a private self-financed educational institution with the aim of imparting quality education and making it accessible to all and is currently functioning under the guidance of Mrs M.M.O. Sarala, the principal.  The college is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. It is a coeducational college approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college has a well experienced teaching staff of 7 qualified members. The college campus expands over 6 acres and has state of the art infrastructure. The campus has spacious classrooms, an auditorium, a cafeteria, an excellent library and a playground with facilities for games and sports. The campus has round the clock internet facility. The college premises have the required departmental libraries and a well-equipped computer lab. The college has first aid facilities also in case of emergencies.

Pratap College of Education Admission 2024

The college offers a degree in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). It is a 2 year full time programme taught on campus in regular mode. It is based on the semester system pattern and has theory and practical subjects. The course is offered by the Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) in Guntur and the syllabus is also fixed by the university. The course has an intake of 100 students. The students seeking admission to the course are required to appear for the AP EDCET (Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test). The candidates have to register for the exam on the official website and appear for it on the scheduled day. The admission is granted on merit basis. Eligibility

The candidates in order to be able to apply for B.Ed., must have secured at least 50% marks in their bachelor degree/ graduation examination from Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) or any other institution recognised by it.
