About the college 

Vasavi College of Education is situated in Puducherry, India. It is among one of the best colleges of India. It was set up in the year 2005 by the Vasavi Trust. The Trust is funded by the great Educationalist Nirva Ratna Dr.K.P.Thiygarajan. They cater to the less privileged and believe in the core principal that through education change can be bought in the life of young people. They work towards upliftment of society by imparting quality education. They are affiliated to the Puducherry University. 

 

Vasavi College of Education Admission 2024

 

The admission to this college is by filling up the admission form available on the website. The college is currently offering only two UG course which are the Bachelor's in Education (B. Ed) and Diploma in Education. The PG course offered by the college is Master's in Education (M. Ed). The aspirants applying for this college must have a bachelor's degree in any subjects. They must have passed their final year with a minimum 50 percentage. It is lower for ST/SC candidates (45 percentage).

 

Eligibility

 

The students aspiring to apply to this college must have passed their 10+2 schooling. They must also have done a bachelor's degree in any subjects and passed it with a minimum 50 percentage. They percentage is 45 for ST/SC candidates. 

For M. Ed, the candidate must have a bachelor's in Education degree and must have qualified it with 50 percentage ( for SC/ST it is 45 percentage).

 

UG Courses

The college currently offers only two UG course. The Bachelor's in Education degree (B. Ed) is a one year full time course on campus. They also offer specialisation in Biology, English, Hindi, Computer Science, Commerce, Mathematics, Tamil, Physics and Chemistry. The total cost of the program is Rs. 40000. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in order to be eligible for this program.

The Diploma in Education is a one year full time course on campus. Students having completed the 10+2 schooling are eligible for this.

 

PG Courses

The college is only offering one PG course as of now. The Master's in Education degree is a 2 years full time course. Students who have completed their bachelor's in Education degree can apply for it provided that they 50 percentage marks in their final examination.
