In 1999, the Swatantra Institute of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation was founded. Under the sponsorship of SIMS, the Ganni Subba Lakshmi Trust founded SIPR. The Andhra Pradesh government has approved the institution. It is accredited by the Indian Association of Physiotherapy (IAP) and associated with the NTR University of Health Sciences (A P), Vijayawada.
