Akal College of Public Health and Hospital administration was established in 2010. It has been accredited by NAAC and approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
Bachelors in nursing is offered at undergraduate level. At postgraduate level, master in hospital administration, master of science in nursing and master of public health are provided. At doctoral level, they offer Phd in health.
Facilities include labs, computer systems, well furnished classrooms, instrumentation facilities, seminar halls etc. Students are encouraged to take part in the National service scheme and national cadet corps. Other extracurricular activities are also organized from time to time. Faculty is extremely good. Scholarship facilities are provided to meritorious and needy students. Placement records of the college are also good. Training opportunities and internships are also provided to the students so as to make them career-oriented.
Students are admitted once a year. They should be medically fit and must possess minimum educational qualifications in order to get admission which can be secured by filling in the required documents.
