Akal Degree College for Women, Sangrur is a women college situated in Punjab. It was set up for women to impart quality education to them. The courses offered by the college are B. Voc (Graphics and Animation), B. Voc (Banking and Retail Management), B. C. A ( Bachelor’s of Computer Application), B. Com(Commerce), M. Sc in Information Technology, M.Sc IT (lateral entry). It also provides a post graduate diploma in Computer Application (P.G..D.C.A). The admission is through online and offline admission form.

Eligibility

The minimum eligibility to get into the UG courses is to complete 10+2 system of schooling from any recognised institute. The admission is purely on the basis of first come first serve basis.

The admission into the PG course is to have 50% in the undergraduate program and no repeat of year or semester. The PG admission is also on the basis of first come first serve provided all the criterias are fulfilled.

UG Admission

The college offers 4 bachelor degrees in various disciplines. The Bachelor’s in Art degree offers 12 subjects which are Punjabi literature, English literature, Hindi literature, History, Political Science, Music, Computer Science, Education, Economics, Mathematics, Fashion Designing, and Journalism. The applicants who want to take admission in the UG courses have to fill up the admission form through online or offline mode. The admission are on merit basis.

PG Admission

The college offers three postgraduate courses. The minimum required percentage is to have 50% in the undergraduate course in order to take admission in the PG courses. The number of seats available are 30 + 3 ( from rural ).
