About the college-

The first private nursing school in North East India, AINE (Asian Institute of Nursing Education), was founded by Dr. Unmona Borgohain Saikia in 2004 with a B.Sc. nursing programme under the INS trust. AINE is accredited by the Indian Nursing Council and the Assam Nursing Council and is affiliated with SNDT Women's University (5 star NAAC accredited). The first women's university in India is SNDT, which has affiliation with All India Jurisdiction. Under Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Assam, the M.Sc. Nursing programme began in 2009, and the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme began in 2011. The Institute is regarded as North East India's top nursing school. The mission of this institution is to train strong, qualified professionals who can provide patients and community members with high-quality care based on scientific principles, who are obligated to treat each patient holistically and according to their individual needs, and who will take the initiative to change the situation in a way that will affect hospital and community health services both locally and globally.

AINE Admission 2024

  • The application forms must be collected from the Asian Institute of Nursing Education's office and accompanied by a payment of Rs. 1000 (cash, bank draught, or bankers check made payable to Asian Institute of Nursing Education and payable at Guwahati). or You can download the form from the AINE website and submit it together with the filled-out form and required documentation along with a bank draft or bankers check for Rs. 18,000/-. 

  • The applicant must write their own handwriting in each column of the application form.

Eligibility-

  • For the undergraduate program a candidate should be 16 years old or older at the time of admittance. Minimum 45% and above in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry (PBC) with English for SC/ST/OBC/DT-NT. Minimum 50% in Higher Secondary in Science group: Physics, Biology, and Chemistry (PBC).

  • For the postgraduate program a candidate should possess a B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic or Post Basic) degree from a university approved by the Government of India and INC. Should have worked as both a licenced nurse and a licenced midwife.

UG Admissions-

  • The Bachelor of Science (Nursing) is a four-year undergraduate programme that awards a degree in nursing science. Each graduate is expected to continue producing work of a high calibre in all areas of nursing. The course will last for FOUR years.  After completing the course, students will be hired by the greatest multi-super specialty hospital in the North-East for ONE YEAR with competitive pay, benefits, and other amenities. The course's goal is to equip students with the skills necessary for entry-level nursing roles in the hospital, community, and various nursing practice settings. 

  • The Post Basic Bachelor of Science (nursing) is an undergraduate degree programme leading to a degree of Science in Nursing. This is also given for a two year time period.

PG Admissions-

When it comes to addressing the health needs of individuals, families, and the community, modern nursing is a dynamic, therapeutic, and educational process. It involves working with the multidisciplinary health care team both alone and jointly. Since nurses give and will likely continue to offer a bigger portion of healthcare with unwavering commitment, their education should arm them with the professional knowledge to fulfil society's evolving needs and their expanding responsibilities. Therefore, a master's degree in nursing will expand a professional graduate's knowledge to meet societal demands. It is for a time period of two years
