Assam Women's university was established in 2013 and is the first women's university in Assam. 

Their mission is to educate and skill empowerment of young women of the state and the country. 

Empower women by imparting value based education and to prepare them for social and economic transformation.

Admission process:

  • For Bachelor of Arts (BA) - there is a basic eligibility for students for admission i.e., students must pass the 10+2 examination with at least 45% marks. 
  • For MBA and MA, university conducts group discussion and personal interview with a written test.
