ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Astha College of Education was established in the year 2007 in Solan. The institution is privately owned and affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University. The college is approved by National Council for Teacher Education. The college facilitates the students with all the essential facilities encouraging holistic development. These include- a library with around 5000 books, a computer lab with around 20 desktops, ET lab with gadgets such as projectors, CD players, head projector, and television. The staff is well qualified giving successful teachers every year. The campus is WiFi enabled for all the students o access online material while in the college. 

ADMISSION

The college offers a B.Ed course, the admission to which is done on the basis of an entrance test conducted by the HP University. Both boys and girls can take admission to this college i.e, the college is co-educational. The college has been allowed 50 seats in medical, non medical, arts, and commerce streams. 10% of seats are given to the management the admission to which is solely decided by the college management authorities. The documents required at the time of admission are- a matriculation certificate, 10+2 certificate, final year certificate of the degree course, character certificate, domicile certificate, passport size photographs, etc.

ELIGIBILITY 

The eligibility criteria to ensure a seat in the college is 10+2+3 from any recognized institution in India. There is no age bar. The minimum age of the student must be 18 years. The student must be available at the time of admission with all the proper documents.

UG ADMISSION

The B.Ed course is of the duration of 2 years which is full time and on campus. The course is in both English and Hindi medium. The fee structure is decided upon by the university only. The total fee is Rs 98,000 for both years. The course is taught in a regular mode.
