ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

This universities also known as Baba Saheb bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University which was separated from Patna University in January 1952 under the Bihar University act 1916 University of Bihar separated into 3 and details that is Bihar University Muzaffarpur Ranchi University Ranchi Bhagalpur University Bhagalpur 1961 pave the way for Bihar University this university is accredited by NAAC with 'b' grade. It was established in 1960 and has 27 constituent colleges it also offered distance education University organization symposium seminars and workshops for the betterment of the students as well as for the facility members full time forces and part time courses ranging from undergraduate to post graduate and research levels are offered by the University. Under section 2f and 12 b of UGC Act which do not have computer facilities so far are under the scheme.

This university offers diploma and postgraduate programs in various specializations currently PG courses offered by the University are M.com ma MSc. The undergraduate courses offered by the University are BA BSc BCom in general owners respectively it also provides specializations in commerce economics English history mathematics physiology Bengali Urdu physics chemistry zoology Sanskrit etc.

ELIGIBILITY

The minimum eligibility for the UG courses is to pass the 10th examination or equivalent degree with the minimum aggregate of 50% marks. For post graduate courses can get must have a best degree in kelvin field from a recognised University the selection process is based on the entrance examination for the PHP and post graduate courses and for UG courses the selection criteria is merit based
