About the college 

Cambridge Institute of Technology [CIT] is an institute located in Ranchi, Jharkhand. It was established in the year 2001 by the Late Dr. Bahadur Singh. The college is run by Cambridge Trust of India, which is registered under the Indian Trust Act. It is affiliated to Ranchi University and Government of Jharkhand and has been recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The overarching mission is to offer the best of education in science and technology so that the students of CIT develop to be professionals of the industry and of society. Facilities merged with the CIT infrastructure are library, cafeteria, hostel, gym and sports complex, laboratories and transport to name a few. Courses in UG and PG are offered in both science, arts and commerce streams. 

CIT Admission 2024 

Under the science undergraduate degrees, a B.Tech can be chosen to major for 3 to 4 years. The majors available are Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Under the science postgraduate degrees, an M.Tech can be pursued for 2 years under the majors of Mechanical Engineering with CAD (Computer-aided design)/CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) or Civil Engineering with a focus on the structural aspects. A course in Applied Science and Humanity is simultaneously offered. 

Eligibility

For B.Tech, candidates should have a pass at the 10+2 level and have to have obtained, for general category students, a minimum 45%, and for the reserved category, a minimum 40% score in PCM subjects. A suitable score in Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board and JEE Mains. 

For M.Tech, candidates with Bachelor’s degrees in the field and a minimum of 50% marks are eligible.

Process 

Admission application forms can be opened from clicking the tabs on the side of the website based on the academic level the student is pursuing. Registering on these pages requires academic information of scores, personal details and any proof of competitive examinations. The form can then be submitted before paying through offline methods, or alongside an online payment.
