CUHP Admission 2024 | Central University of Himachal Pradesh UG & PG Course Last Date

The Central Institution of Himachal Pradesh is an Indian central research university with its headquarters in Dharamsala. It is now operating from a temporary campus in Shahpur, Kangra district,[4] while two permanent campuses in Dehra and Dharamsala are being built. [5] The institution was established in 2009 as part of the government's strategy of establishing Central Universities in those states that did not already have one. The Central University of Himachal Pradesh was formed by Parliament through the Central Universities Act 2009 (No. 25 of 2009).

ADMISSION PROCESS :

Entrance to UG programs of study is based on a student's merit in the entrance test.

Entrance to any PG Diploma is granted on the basis of the candidate's performance in the entrance test.

 

A student admitted to a UG training course (except BFA program) of study may earn the following: Certificate (if s/he opts out after two semesters with 40 UG credits); Diploma (if s/he opts out after four semesters with 80 UG credits); Bachelor's (if s/he opts out after four semesters with 80 UG credits) (if stays on to complete full 6 semesters with 140 UG Credits).

 

If a candidate is accepted to a PG program (excluding MFA), he or she may receive an Advanced Diploma (if he or she opts out after two semesters with 40 PG credits) or a Master's Degree (if he or she stays for the entire four years with 80 PG credits). In the event of a B.Lib.I.Sc. (if continuing for the full two semesters with 40 credits), In the event of an M.Lib.I.Sc. (if continuing for the entire two semesters with 40 credits).

If they return to the university within the next two years, those who opt out will be entitled to enter laterally to finish and obtain their degree.
