About the college 

Footwear Design and Development Institute [FDDI] is an institute located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It was established in the year 2013 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India. The FDDI group has multiple institutions across India and the driving purpose of the group is to import quality education on the skill of footwear design with the objective of building professionals in the field to propagate the culture in the future. It therefore provides both undergraduate and postgraduate decrease in the same field. To complement the academic courses, all campuses are furnished with facilities such as AC classrooms, laboratories, auditorium, library, boys and girls hostels, gymnasium, canteen, sports areas, etc. A placement cell is also present with tie-ups with famous and profitable brands. 

FDDI Admission 2024 

A student can pursue undergraduate degrees of 4 years in the field of design and fashion in the form of Bachelors of Design (B.Des). Students can specialise in either Footwear Design And Production or Fashion Design within the same degree. 

Eligibility

The criteria for admission into a Bachelor’s of Design degree is for the student to have passed their 10 plus 2 educational level in any stream from a board or university that is recognised by the FDDI. The equivalent options to this are also acceptable. The maximum age limit for applying to a Bachelor's degree is 25 years. 

Process

Interested candidates must give the FDDI All India Selection Test (AIST), a centralised entrance exam which is the basis of which admission is given to students. To give the exam, they must visit the institute website and apply for the exam through an online application form available. A fee will have to be paid through the online payment gateway which is Rs. 600 for general category students and Rs. 300 for others. Counselling sessions will be conducted, for those students who will be selected according to their rank in the examination and academic merit, to finalize their seat.
