It is a Srinagar-based affiliated institution of the University of Kashmir. On January 15, 1986, it was founded. The university began operations at a high school facility in Pulwama town before moving to its current location in 2001. In 2004, the University Grants Commission (UGC) granted its status. The Institute has created several alumni who have served as ambassadors for the institution. The institution has several very good schools, notably science fields with state-of-the-art labs. The institution contains a large library with a wide variety of books, as well as different publications and periodicals. Apart from ordinary educational tasks, the university offers IGNOU, Distance Learning study centres, which provide a far extra help to individuals who are unable to attend college regularly. Furthermore, the school admin offers a forward-thinking and insightful perspective on undergraduate amenities.
