About the college
Government Medical College is a state run medical college situated in Latur Maharashtra. It was inaugurated in the year 2002. It has an overall ranking in India of 169. It is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
It is also recognised by the government of India and Medical Council of India. It offers a plethora of degrees which are paramedical technology, diploma, MBBS, MS and MD. It has various facilities ranging from Hi-Tech classroom, well equipped laboratories and various extra curricular options
Government Medical College Admission 2024
In order to get admission in the paramedical Technology course one must have appeared and qualified the 10 + 2 schooling from a recognised board. They must have at least 50% marks in there plus two level and must have studied physics chemistry and Biology combination in High School.
For the MBBS degree one must have qualified and appeared for the neet examination. Must have required the required cutoff needed for the counselling process. In the counselling session they must have selected this college as the top priority in order to be allotted a seat here.
For MD and Ms one must have cleared the neet PG examination with the required cutoff. They must have a valid MBBS degree from a recognised University with 50% marks. In the counselling process they must have selected this college as a top priority for the master course.
Eligibility
For the diploma course one must have passed that 10 + 2 12 examination with physics chemistry biology combination from a recognised board. They must have 50% marks in their plus two level.Similarly for MBBS they must have qualified the national eligibility entrance test with the required cut off. Additionally they must have also passed that 10 + 2 schooling from a recognised board with 50% marks.For MD and MS degree one must have already passed their MBBS from a recognised University approved by the Medical Council of India. They must have at least 50% marks in their final year.
UG course
The MBBS degree is a 5.6 years long course which explores the theoretical as well as the practical aspect of the human body. The candidates have to undergo one year of mandatory internship in order to be awarded the degree.
Pg course
The MS and MD degree is a 2 years full time on campus course which is offered to candidates having the required cut off. The professionals are trained in their preferred specialisation.
