About the college

Government Medical College is one of the prestigious Medical Colleges in the state of Bihar it was established in 2008 it is a government college and has been approved by Medical Council of India and is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University Patna. The college has been divided into various committees which includes medical education unit, college Council committee institutional animal ethical committee human resource ethical committee anti ragging committee and curriculum committee sum of the most prominent facilities that are being provided by the college includes library who still and Laboratories there and their own hospital which is attached with the institute they have their own publications and the carry out Research and clinical programs throughout the year. A wide range of training internships as well as placement opportunities are being provided by the placement cell of the college which has been bringing laurels to the college. Scholarship opportunities are also provided to the meritorious as well as needed students upon fulfilling a minimum eligibility criteria. 

GMC Admission 2024

The college has been divided into different departments which include physiology, biochemistry , Pharmacology, pathology, microbiology, skin and VD dental and many others. They provide a single course in MBBS which is the degree course permitted by the Medical Council of India. The college takes 120 students per year. It is a four and half year course which includes a 1 year compulsory routine internship. 

Eligibility 

Students are admitted for admissions through a competitive exam which is Neet examination. Apart from that are 3 year Residency admission to the scores can be obtained by a student by qualifying in a competitive exam which is conducted by the government of Bihar as well as from all India PG examination. 

UG and PG admissions 

For admissions students can visit the college physically and obtain an application form which by duly filling along with the required documents and the scores that are being obtained under NEETexamination.  Further a merit list is being released and upon this basis admissions are granted.
