About the college

The Govt. Shikshan Mahavidyalaya in Nagaon was founded in February 1968 thanks to the determined efforts of a number of newly active educators, politicians, social workers, and well-wishers, including the late Bhakat Ram Saikai, Liladhar Saikia, Phani Bora, Mahesh Ch. Dev Goswami, Bongshi Sarma, Surendra Nath Boruah, Md. Imam Rabbani, Md. Imdad Mohesh Chandra Dev Goswami was this college's first president. The primary way that the late Hareswar Goswami gave back and made a sacrifice was by resigning from his government-appointed position as a lecturer at the P.G.T. College in Jorhat. The college is accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education and associated with Gauhati University in Guwahati (NCTE).

Govt Shikshan Mahavidyalaya Admission 2024

Assam University offers Nagaon BEd Admission at Govt Shikshan Mahavidyalaya. The admission process is used to narrow down the pool of qualified applicants for the two-year BEd programme. The Assam BEd entrance test serves as the basis for student selection. A two-year undergraduate teaching programme is called a BEd.

Eligibility

Before completing the application process, candidates must review the Assam BEd eligibility requirements. For the general category, graduation from an accredited university must be at least 50%. Students from the reserved category must graduate with a minimum GPA of 45%.

B.ed Admission

After graduating, students take the 2-year professional course known as the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in order to become teachers in public schools. All instructors must possess a B.Ed, according to the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE).
