About the college-

The Kanad Institute of Engineering Management, located in Durgapur, West Bengal, was built in the year 2008 and strives to advance technical education to meet the needs of the struggling industrial sector. The university aspires to produce professionals with a worldwide perspective because it adheres to the idea of "Vasudhaiv Akutumbakam" (Earth is one country, and all mankind is its inhabitants). Nearly 2,500 years before John Delton, the great mathematician and theorist Sage Kanad (600 BC), the father of the atomic theory, said that every object in creation is made up of atoms that connect with one another to form molecules. This is how the college got its start. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.
