Regarded as one of the well-developed universities in India, Lalit Narayan Tirhut Mahavidyalaya, popularly known as LNT, has been established in the year 1967. The Institute is located at Ramdayalu Path, Mahammadpur Kazi, Aghoria Bazar, Gannipur, Muzaffarpur, Bihar - 842001. It is a public university established by the Bihar government. This university is affiliated under Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University and has gained rank 'B' accreditation from NAAC. The official website of this institution is www.lntcollege.ac.in .

 LNT bears a vision of "Personality development and empowerment of women through motivation, dedication and value based education to enable them to lead a purposeful life."

 

FACULTY -

LNT is a Co-ed institution which is open equally for both men and women, and for all sections of the society. The Chancellor of the institution is the governor of Haryana and the vice chancellor is J.P. Yadav. The university faculty is of modern infrastructure and filled with well-experienced professors and staff. Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls separately, along with other medical and domestical facilities. There are 17 faculties and the total number of students enrolled is 2522. It is approved by the Constituent. The university also has an averagely good placement record.

• Bachelor of Science (B.Sc):

This is a full-time regular on campus undergraduate course. The duration of this course is 3 years and the fees is ₹877 per year. Available for 6 streams : General, botany, mathematics, physics, zoology and chemistry.
