Maharishi Markandeshwar University started its first session in 2010 which offers many courses with different disciplines. The foundation stone was laid by the then CM of Himachal Pradesh on 29 February 2009. It is a private university that has set a record of 100% placements of its students. They are also being approved by UGC and have an area of 47 acres. Some companies are being enlisted: Amazon, Deloitte, Infosys, Flipkart, etc. have recruited their students.

Eligibility Criteria

For B.Sc.

Admission is purely based on the qualifying exam. Candidates are informed to clear their 10+2.

For Diploma, B.Voc., Value Added Courses

10+2 is mandatory with the medical stream.

For Nursing Courses

Entrance tests will be conducted by the university and one has to visit the official website.

For Ph.D.

Applicants who have done any from these MD/ MS/ PG Diploma must have at least 55% marks in it. Or ‘B’ grade where grading is followed provided that one applicant has to clear M.Sc.(Medical) with at least 60%  and the institute can be of foreign too by AAA. After that university will be conducting entrance exams and after that interview round.

For MBBS

10+2 with at least 55% marks in science. And one must clear the NEET-UG exam.

For B.Tech.

Candidates have to clear the JEE-MAINS exam and the minimum eligibility is 10+2 in the science stream and having 55%+.

For M.Tech.

The GATE scorecard is mandatory to get admitted.

For MBA

Bachelor's degree with 55% aggregates. The MAT exam is necessary to get admitted to the university.

For BBA

Admission is based on the merit list. Candidates should at least clear 10+2.

For MS

The university selects the students according to NEET-UG. Applicants should have an MBBS degree with 50%
