About the college 

Punjab Institute of Technology [PIT], Batala is a leading higher education institute providing education in the field of Technology and Engineering to the budding and Aspiring students in Punjab region. The institute was set up by Punjab Technical University but now it forms part of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University. The institute believes in inclusion of all the minority communities by exploring their talent and assisting them in fulfilling their requirements. Campus life has been made in such a way to provide the necessary exposure to the students at college level and includes medical facility, hostel facility, transportation facilities, gyms and sports equipment, a central library and a computer centre. Training and placement cell caters to the needs of students to make them industry suitable, job ready and employable by adopting a comprehensive action plan including training opportunities, cloud based placement portal, career counselling seminars, workshops, industry based skill knowledge, placement drives, job fairs and other necessary support.

PIT Admission 2024

Courses have been categorised into 3 categories including engineering courses which offer a 4 year Bachelor of Technology course in Electrical, Civil, mechanical and computer science and engineering. 

Second category include non AICTE courses which comprises BCom Honours, BCA and BBA which all are three year courses with an intake capacity of 60 students each.

One year skill certificate courses includes certificate course in Electrician and computer maintenance as well as programming assistance 

Eligibility 

To pursue 1 year skill certificate courses, a matrix degree would be required whereas for courses in BBA, BCA, and BCom Honours. A student must have passed class 12th with the minimum of 45% marks, students can also seek direct admissions to 2nd year through lateral entry scheme provided they are a diploma holder and 20% seats have been reserved for the same.

Admission forms can be obtained online, you can download in the form of PDF and fill it up with all the necessary details along with a declaration to be signed by the parents and Guardians.
