About the college 

Sacred Heart International College of Education is located in Barnala, Punjab. It was established in 2001 and has been recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college aims to provide an environment that serves as a centre of excellence for students in the pursuit of knowledge, skills and success in the field of education. Another focus of the college is its emphasis on individual attention, social ethics, and research and innovation. The institute infrastructure is therefore furnished with a number of diverse facilities and amenities that the student can benefit from such as lecture halls, library, computer lab, psychology lab, science lab, seminar hall, language lab, auditorium, canteen, audio visual facilities, student clubs and associations, classrooms, sports and games, etc.

There are a range of degrees and courses offered by the college, with both general and specialised programs in the field of education. First is a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) which is studied for 2 years. A candidate can also pursue a Master of Education (M.Ed) for a duration of 2 years. Other diploma and certificate courses include Diploma in Nursery Teacher Training, Nursery Teacher Training, Early Childhood Care & Education, Yoga Teacher Training, Certificate in NANNY, and a Certificate In Digital Marketing. 

Eligibility

The criteria to be eligible for a Bachelor of Education program is for the student to have graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in any relevant streams such as humanities, commerce or science. Similarly, for a Master of Education, the prerequisite to applying for the course is a B.Ed from an accredited university. For the other Diploma and certificate courses, the student only needs to have passed the 12th grade (10 + 2 pattern) education to be eligible. 

Process
