About the college

SKM College of Education is a prestigious academic institution in the South Kashmir area. It was named in honor Souch Kral, an exceptional Sufi poet who enhanced Kashmiri culture and artwork. The J&K Multidisciplinary Open Evangelist Academic Society, which has been created in 2002, established the college. The university is an attempt to realize society's objective of developing, fostering, and using the dormant and powerful skills existing in pupils. It also aims to raise the educational standards in rural and underserved regions of Kashmir, as well as to attract students from other parts of the country. It is dedicated to educating literates who appear to be qualified or uneducated. The institution is situated in the town of Newa, surrounded by green and beautiful mountains, distant from sound and commotion. This benefits the pupils' learning experience. There is also a confluence of roads to tourist attractions in the area. The institution provides high-quality facilities such as a well-stocked bookstore, dorms, specialized laboratories, and facilities for extracurricular activities. There seem to be three structures on a total area of land of 8 Kanals. The Institute has a function Experimental school on-site to train preservice teachers. Admission

The institute offers admission in the undergraduate level course only. At the undergraduate level, it provides admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) for 2 years on campus full time. 

Eligibility

The minimum eligibility to get admission in the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course is 10+2 from any recognized institution. To get access to courses like Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), the candidate must have a graduation degree from any recognized institution and college.

To take admission in the diploma course, the candidate should have passed the 10+2 relevant stream with a recognized board.

UG Admission

The candidates seeking admission in the undergraduate courses of the university can either fill out the online application form on the university website or can physically submit their documents to the college. After that, on a merit basis, students can secure their admission seats.
