Ursuline Primary Teachers Education College, Lohardaga

About the College

On January 1st, 1912, the Ursuline Primary Teachers' Education College was founded in Lohardaga. To address the educational demands of the State of Bihar, it was absolutely necessary to create a primary teachers' educational college (now Jharkhand). The institution was therefore founded to address the expanding requirements of Chotanagpur's young women. It is run under the guidelines of Article 30 of the Indian Constitution and is overseen by the Ranchi Ursuline Society. 100 students are admitted each year. The Ursuline Primary Teachers' Education College in Lohardaga is a Jharkhand Academic Council-affiliated educational institution. It has been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). 100 students are accepted each year. The Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi, is in charge of administering the test. They hope to instil in the students the virtues of brotherhood, honesty, dignity, and self-assurance as well as to motivate them to incorporate values such as respect for the value of labour and social responsibility. The institution aims to personally equip female students to become teachers who are intelligent, morally honest, committed to their communities, and spiritually inspired.
