About the college

Ahalia School of optometry was established in the year 2011 in Palakkad, Kerala. It is affiliated with the Kerala University Of the health sciences. The courses offered by this college are approved by the Kerala Paramedical council. The Institute has an outstanding team of faculty who are highly qualified in the field of optometry and provided dedicated and committeed services to the students to the best of their efforts. The college has other infrastructural facilities to have a look at such as the library, computer, hostel stays and other students’ supporting facilities to facilitate the learning process. The vision is to provide healthcare for all in the living environment and the objective of this college Is to be an inspirational force in nature’s future healthcare that would assure health and education of the highest possible standards to people of all walks in a safe and pollution free environment.

ASP Admission 2024 

Admission to this college is on a merit basis and It offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Diplomas for students to channel their interests accordingly. It offers Ba B.Sc(Bachelor of science) which is a 4 years course and has a disciplined group namely Ophthalmic Technology and Optometry. The annual intake is 30 students. Under the Postgraduate program, the course offered is M.Sc(Master in science) which is a 2 years course with an annual Intake of 12 students and also a Diploma course in Ophthalmic Assistance.Both the courses are self-financing and are approved by the Kerala University of Health and Allied Sciences.

Eligibility

• The eligibility is merit-based. For the students seeking B.Sc optometry, the students must have scored an aggregate of 50% marks in their 10th and 12th in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. The student should be 17years old as of 31st December of the admission year.
• For M.Sc, the student should have a B.Sc Optometry degree from KUHS or other equivalent universities with at least 55% marks.
• For Diploma in Ophthalmic Assistance, the students must have passed their 10+2 from the Board Of Public Examinations, Kerala with an aggregate of 40% marks in optional subjects put together.

UG & PG Admissions

• Visit the office of Ahalia Knowledge Village during office hours.
• Collect the application form and prospectus by paying a fee of INR 350.
• Fill in the form and submit the relevant documents proclaimed by it.
• Attach the required certificates and submit the same to the office.
