AFMC Admission 2024 | Armed Forces Medical College UG & PG Course Last Date

Armed Forces Medical College is a well known medical institute in Pune, under the management of Indian Forced Army. The college was established in 1948, during the time of the post world war period under the advice of the BC Roy committee. AFMC is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. The institution provides undergraduate and postgraduate education along with dental postgraduate, nursing cadets and paramedical staff. The college also provides various researches in medical subjects, which would also help armed forces during the time of war. 

AFMC is located over 119 acres, with an environmentally friendly campus near Ramterki in eastern part of pune. The college has a beautiful garden and many heritage buildings. The college provides all the facilities, such as canteen, swimming pool, cafeteria, cinema theatre, shopping centres, gymnasium, worship centres etc, inside the campus with good accommodations.    

AFMC Admission 2024

The college is well known for its Graduate Wing which was established on 04 August 1962, by the defence minister of India Shri VK Krishna Menon. The teaching faculty of AFMC are well educated and dedicated. The college of nursing was established in November 1964 and it has given the Armed force more than thousand military nursing officers.

Admission is based on National Eligibility And Entrance Test (NEET) and around 150 students are admitted for MBBS. Students of AFMC are not allowed to marry or to be married during the time period of course and after the completion of MBBS they should work for the armed forces for seven years. The motto of college is “Let all be Healthy”
