 The course offered is B.Sc Nursing which is a 4-year course and is broadly based on education within an academic research framework specially directed to the development of critical thinking skills, competence and standards required for the practice of professional nursery and midwifery as envisaged in National Health Policy,2002. Every candidate before admission to the course shall submit to the Principal of the institution a Certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorised Medical Officer with MBBS or higher qualification certifying that the candidate is fit to undergo the course.

Eligibility

 

  • As per the norms of the Kerala University of Health Science for admission to B.Sc Nursing, the minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of a Higher Secondary School Certificate examination or Senior School Certificate examination with Science and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • The candidates belonging to the socially backward classes will have a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination. They need only 45% marks in case of optional subjects put together.
  • Applicants should complete 17 years during Admission. The maximum age limit should be 35 years. No relaxation of age would be provided.
  • Candidates must be citizens of India / children or dependents of Non-Resident Indians.

UG Admissions

  • While reporting for admission, all the relevant details and certificates/ documents should be submitted.
  • Additionally, Two sets of photocopies of all the certificates/documents attested by Gazetted Officers have to be submitted at the time of admission.
  • The norms of eligibility prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council shall also apply .
